Smart Roads Memorial Forest
The transport sector uses a significant portion of the energy consumed. Most of the energy consumed is fossil-based energy, which is responsible for a significant portion of greenhouse gas emissions and is one of the major causes of climate change. While many economic sectors such as power generation and industry have reduced their emissions since 1990, emissions from transport have increased. Emissions from transport currently account for more than a quarter of the EU's total greenhouse gas emissions.
The solutions to be developed to reduce the damage caused by the transportation sector to the environment should be environmentally friendly and should reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The Path of the Mind Smart Roads Memorial Forest has been created by ITS Türkiye at the Ankara-Niğde Motorway Ankara Haymana intersection in order to emphasize the environmentalist aspect of Intelligent Transportation Systems. Our speakers, whose trees are planted in their name, are announced on this page.
