About the Member:

The Automotive Industry Association (OSD), which held its first establishment meeting on January 11, 1974 with the gathering of 11 automotive manufacturing companies, was established under the name of "Motor Land Transport Vehicles Truck, Van, Tractor, Bus and Automobile Manufacturers Industry Association" on June 14, 1974 by providing the necessary conditions in accordance with the Law on Associations No. 1630.

With the amendment of the charter on November 7, 1979, its name was "Automotive Industry Association". Today, the association has been successfully continuing its efforts to develop our country's Automotive Industry for 42 years with its 14-member companies, each of which is a global player, and its large expert staff. OSD, which is a member of OICA (International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers), represents our country's Automotive Industry on the international platform.

In order to closely follow the developments in the EU and the UN/EEC especially in technical legislation issues, which are extremely important for the competitiveness of our industry, it represents our country in the "Liaison Commitee" activities where current global and local developments are evaluated with the participation of relevant country associations from the EU within the body of ACEA (The European Automobile Manufacturers' Association).
