Kentkart is an information technologies company that produces and develops toll collection sytems including smart cards, vehicle tracking systems, travel information, and on-board video surveillance systems for the public transport sector. Established in 1998, it implemented its first project in March 1999 in Izmir. As a result of its high technology and intensive R&D studies, it has always been recognized for decisively breaking new ground.

Since the year it was founded, with 45,000 vehicles and 55,000 hardware products, it reaches up to 3.5 billion passengers a year, and 7.5 million transactions daily, mobilizing those passengers with 25 million smart cards. These striking numbers surely position the company among the prominents in the sector.

Taking advantage of nearly 23 years of industry experience, Kentkart’s mission is to develop modern, fast, punctual, easy, and secure information technologies and systems to meet the needs and expectations of the public transport operators, provide pleasant journeys for passengers and thus, grow by introducing multipurpose solutions into our lives.

Extending beyond Türkiye and growing globally, Kentkart offers integrated solutions that completely meet the needs and expectations of all public transportation, and at the same time, it produces and develops all system components as software and hardware. Furthermore, it operates the systems and cares for their maintenance 7/24 on behalf of the public transport companies. This very successful business model is being applied in 16 countries and 45 cities (29 domestic and 16 overseas) today. Kentkart is one of the few companies of Türkiye which has its own R&D department. Kentkart is supported by TÜBİTAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye) for its newly developing applications that carry innovative characteristics. At the same time, there are R&D units in Technoparks of 4 different universities.
