Turkcell is a built-in, integrated communications and technology services company established in Türkiye. It offers its customers voice, data, TV services and value-added individual and corporate services over its mobile and fixed networks.

Mobile communication in Türkiye started with the launch of Turkcell in February 1994. Turkcell, which signed a 25-year GSM license agreement with the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Türkiye on April 27, 1998 and continued its development by increasing the variety and quality of mobile voice and data communication-based services offered to its customers and accordingly the number of customers. Turkcell, whose shares started to be traded simultaneously on Borsa İstanbul (BIST) and New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on 11 Temmuz 2000, has the title of the only Turkish company listed on the NYSE and is included in the Borsa İstanbul Sustainability Index.

Turkcell also has investments abroad. KKTCell, a 100% Turkcell subsidiary that entered into service in 1999, operates within the framework of a revenue sharing agreement with the Telecommunications Department of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Lifecell, in which Turkcell owns a 100% stake in Ukraine, started to provide mobile communication services in February 2005. In Belarus, Turkcell acquired 80% of BeST's shares from the State Wealth Committee of the Republic of Belarus in 2008.

Turkcell has become one of the first operators in the world to use HSPA+ technology. As one of the first operators to implement HSPA+ technology in their networks, it has implemented two new HSPA+ technologies in parallel with the increase in data usage. Turkcell launched LTE service in 81 provinces in Türkiye on April 1, 2016 using LTE_Advanced and 3stone-grinding joining technologies. Turkcell provides fiber data access at speeds up to 1 Gbps per second to Türkiye's homes. Turkcell aims to respond to the communication needs of the customer in high quality with its wide coverage area in Türkiye and the prevalence of usage services abroad.
